Cleaning tips: get more from your central vacuum

A BEAM system isn't just for floors. Used well, it becomes your dusting tool, pet groomer, and car detailer, while carrying allergens out of the house instead of stirring them up.

Rethink dusting

Rags and scented sprays mostly relocate dust, and add chemicals to your air, which is hard on allergy and asthma sufferers. BEAM dusting attachments vacuum dust at the source and carry it to the receptacle in your garage or basement. You'll breathe easier and dust less often.

Carpet, drapes, and upholstery, ask your doctor, keep your decor

Some allergy sufferers are told to remove carpet and drapes entirely, but only about 20% of patients actually do. With regular deep cleaning from a central vacuum, those changes may not be necessary. That decision belongs with your physician; our job is making the cleaning thorough enough that it's a real option.

The refrigerator problem

Fridges act like dust magnets, debris collects beneath and behind, then goes airborne every time the compressor cycles. The BEAM 36" crevice tool slips under and behind hard-to-move appliances and pulls that hidden dust out for good.

Pets: groom and clean in one pass

Pet grooming brushes attach to your BEAM hose and vacuum hair and dander as you comb. If your physician says pets can stay, this is how you keep the peace between your allergies and your dog.

The KickSweep / VacPan shortcut

An automatic dustpan in the kitchen or mudroom ends stooping forever: sweep debris to the inlet, tap the toe switch, done. Professional installation required, ask about adding one.

Don't forget the car

The Car Care Kit's 30-ft swivel hose and attachments turn the garage utility valve into a detailing station. More ideas in our accessories guide.
